South African Protected Potato Bass Pictures & Photographs
The Potato Bass is a beautiful saltwater fish species that can weigh close to 70 kilograms, it is listed on the IUCN Red List as it is an endangered species and therefore not allowed to be targeted, killed or caught in South African waters. The Potato Bass is also not allowed to be spearfished for. Potato Bass are placid fish and despite their size are quite comfortable around divers, it is however very aggressive towards other larger fish species as they are very territorial, please see images and photo's of the beautiful Potato Bass below:
