The South African Spotted Grunter is one of the most recognised and targeted of fish species that occur in South Africa. The Spotted Grunter can be found in most estuaries along our coast line where they mainly feed on swimming prawn, mud prawn and sand prawn. Spotted Grunter are hard fighting fish and generally clean fighters, a lot of fun can be had targeting the Spotted Grunter on light tackle as even the smaller fish give a good account of themselves.
